Datejust.

The Okie Corral

Edit: this is the watch I predicted myself buying back on pg. 2 of this thread. The Seiko Monster is officially a beater now. Feels good.

Usually every day is a Rolex day, but I must admit that since the "deployment watch" thread, yesterday and today I've been wearing my G-Shock Solar Atomic.

Such a cool timepiece just for it's capabilities (and CHEAP!):

I tried a Steelfish for a while, but it felt like a hockey puck strapped to my wrist. I'm a skinny guy. Great watch though, the concentric circle pattern on the dial is very cool looking.

I'm built like a linebacker. It's a chunk o' watch and if I run out of bullets I could do serious damage by hitting someone with it but it doesn't overwhelm me.

I love that 6900 case. I had one too, the regular battery version. After about 11 years of daily use, a big chunk just came off the front side of the 'case' while I was putting it on.

The Okie Corral

Broke my heart. The band on the broken side was no longer secure, so the watch now hangs over my workbench in the garage. Still works, as a wall clock. I think I'll be buying a new one soon.

Rolex Datejust Oyster. It was a high school graduation gift and I've been wearing it daily for 27 years.

The Rolex doesn't get worn on a daily basis. She's a specialty tool that to be used as intended: measuring the time it takes to chug a bottle of beer underwater.

I would like to have a Doxa dive watch someday, but have a hard time justifying the money. My $30 Armitron works great.

When my grandfather died, we found about 5 broken Timex's, all the same model as the one he wore.

Casio Pathfinder. I like my watches to be a practical device.

I kinda wish I was still into wearing a watch. They look nice but hate things on my wrists. I don't even wear my wedding band anymore. And yes my wife does know about it and I convinced her I wasn't cheating. I just told her that I didn't need a chunk of metal to remind me of my vows. That was a fight i'm glad that reason won out on...

For work its a GShock Mudman when/if that ever wears out I may upgrade to the solar atomic version of same watch. Out of work I rotate between a Luminox Colormark, and a Gerlach N97 http://www.christopherwardforum.com/...hp?f=8&t=13234

OT, but I don't mind admitting that the chunk of metal being there has been of great assistance in reminding me a few times.

My girlfriend got me this one for my birthday a couple weeks ago. I like it quite a bit. Lume is great (and blue) second time zone, slide rule for tip calculations, etc, screw down crown (wr to 200m) and it's powered by light (no need for batteries or winders). Love the way it looks too.

It's honestly a little too big/chunky for me.

When everyone else was strapping G-Shock I was wearing a 30 lap Ironman like a BOSS.

It looks like the plastic became brittle over time, or maybe they were made of a different composition back then.

Nice watch
I was going to buy my son a Tag for his college graduation gift, but the tranny went out on his truck so the $ went for that.
