Twinkie SHTF for real!

Hah...while most of you morons were freakin' out about the election and panic buying your ammunition I have been busy stockpiling Hostess Baked Goods for the REAL SHTF that's about to go down...

http://www.examiner.com/article/no-m...-union-strikes

Hostess is going to permanently shut down its bakeries due to a Union Strike!

I'm buying all the Twinkies, Ho-Hos, and Ding Dongs I can lay my hands on... Its better than gold I tell ya!

As for the rest of you peasants...NO CAKE FOR YOU!

Great....so now there's going to be guys walking around gun shows with Radio Flyer wagons piled high with DingDongs and twinkies, selling them for "$20 each or 10 for $200", preaching about the great Obama-twinkie-takeaway, cream filling limits.

They are the ultimate prep item. Shelf life of 120 years and a good source of calories in stressful times.

Twinkies and Ding Dongs will be currency in SHTF.

Ding Dongs are better strategically because there are 2 to a pack, so you can make change. However, Twinkies are lighter.

If you can't bribe your way past a government checkpoint with a coupla Ding Dongs you just ain't gettin past.

Ding Dongs are waterproof to some extent too. So if you live in a flood area they may be the way to go.

Unions going on strike is just a form of extortion. Let them rot.

We had a family owned trucking company here. Good place to work and took good care of everyone and competitive pay for this area.

Teamsters union came in and organized them. Got everyone worked up because the pay was not as high as some east coast states even though the cost of living was far less here. On an adjusted basis the wages were about the same. Then they demanded a benefits package that was unheard of and and driving schedules that basically made it impossible to move any trucks because everyone was at home instead of driving.

It came to a head one night at the terminal building. Owners accountants presented the company budget and showed what they were asking for was impossible. The union reps got everyone to strike and they sat outside the gates essentially locking the owners inside.

A few hours later the owners came out and announced the company existed in name only. All contracts, inventory, rolling stock and property had been sold. The employees were told they would need to find other jobs.

Union reps told them what a good job they had done, standing up to management and then just left.

They want to take away 28% of their pay package (benefits too).

If you made $1 a day and had decent insurance and your boss said you'd be making 75 cent a day and they were taking away your drug and dental insurance (fake numbers of course) you'd be pissed too.

Not if the alternative of ZERO was the only other choice.

Then they should find other employment if they have a better option.

If not, the company is doing them a favor because that package is still the best option they have.

Now they get nothing.

Genius!

The facts

http://abcnews.go.com/Business/twink...3#.UKU3_WcdX0g

Quote:
The strikes began on Nov. 9, when the company imposed a contract that would cut workers' wages by 8 percent. The Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco Workers and Grain Millers International Union (BCTGM) said the contract would also cut benefits by 27 to 32 percent.

There were days when this was a better offer than the choices I faced.
