G26 future CCW
Purchased 1st Glock (26) late Aug '12. Waiting on CCW permit to come (Fl resident). Home gun is M&P9.
I have pinky extension on G26 mags. Found that they have a sharp edge between extension and mag well. Used #150 sandpaper to taper edge on bottom of pinky extension. Will go to range later this week to see if this is the cure. Has anyone out there encountered this problem with the mag extensions on G26? If so, what have you done to fix this problem? AlDmz54

Welcome. You'll find the 26 an easy carry and surprisingly accurate. Mine seems to shoot tighter with 147 gr ammo, but I'm sure each has its own "dietary" needs. Enjoy and be safe.

I have small hands. The extensions are Pierce. I'll see how they feel next time I go to range. Thanks for your reply: Al

Welcome fellow new guy. you're going to dig the 26! you should try shooting without the extension so you get used to the hanging pinky.

You know what soomz, I have been thinking about doing what you recommend and I think I am going to give it a try. I'll take off one of the extensions on my 4 mags and shoot it next time I go to the range. Thanks and take care.

Well, sandpapering down the edge of the pierce extensions worked out well. I know longer feel the straight edge lip of the extension pinching my pinky. I will try as stated before taking off one of the extensions and see I it feels shooting the G26 with the pinky hanging underneath the grip.

Welcome!
I use the pearce PG39 mag extension, and I also knocked the front of mine down with a file, because it pinched my pinky. Not a big deal.
