Can anyone say why the gills face the wrong way? They are actually machined back wards! Hence it is harder to pull the slide back?

That's what I have always said. Visually they look better how they are but if your grip slips your hand will move away from the slide. With the gills the other way if your hand slips your hand will just go to the center of the slide.
Since so many people love the gills (myself included) Glock could make some easy money by created a limited edition version with the gills flipped 180.

That serial number puts it around 11-01-2009.
Gen 2?? RTF's were Gen 3's.

For you RTF with the fish gill experts. I have a pretty rare Glock 23c with the Gills and I was thinking of putting it on gunbroker. It looks like new and only had about 30 rounds shot through it. My question is what starting price and what Buy it Now price would you use if you were trying to sell it?
It's the one on the left...

Gilled! They have test fire dates of 11-02-09. they were on sale since they havent moved in 3 years. they are blue lables with trijicon night sights and 3 mags - $449.
I dont want to say where, since I'm hoping to pick up a 23 next week. As of today the 17 is gone, but 19 and 23 is still available.
