If Romney has no chance winning...then why has Obama been campaigning desperately like a madman these past few months?

I don't know if Romney will win or not, but he has my vote on Tuesday.
For me, it's very simple. Of the two candidates, who would Iran rather see win? Obama.
Of the two candidates, who would the Chinese rather see win? Obama.
Of the two candidates, who would Putin rather see win? Obama.
We have enemies and Obama projects weakness and incompetence.

I don't vote with my guns and I don't shoot with my politicians (Thank you, Dick Cheney).
I'll be the first one to tell you that many of the democratics platform on gun issues is just plain wrong, but I don't believe they want to ban all gun ownership and/or take away our guns. I do empathize with a society trying desperately to deal with gun related chaos. More important to me than whether or not I can own a high capacity magazine is whether or not hungry children eat, the elderly are provided for and our veterans are honored.
Other than a love of the 2nd Amendment, the GOP just doesn't appeal to my core values.

Well, I happen to believe that in the end, the Second Amendment is the one that keeps the rest of the amendments for us. And, I would vote Republican for no other reason.

Your ability to own a high capacity magazine may just be the very single factor which keeps you alive one day. If you're dead, then you can't very well feed children, provide for the elderly, or honor veterans...now can you?

I'm not a soldier, but I used to be. I'm a civilian now. I have every confidence in my tactical and practical abilities. One well placed round out the muzzle is better than all the rounds you can fit in a magazine.
If the 'one day' you're referring to is the Zombie Apocalypse, SHTF day .. I'm ready for that too and in those times the laws and bans won't really matter ... will they?

Let's add Jesse Jackson, Louis Farrakhan, and Al "Not So" Sharpton to that, as well.

Well buddy...as a former soldier with full confidence in your tactical and practical abilities, you of all people should know better than anyone that you just can't always count on one well placed round being the end of the fight.

Your state is a toss up. What are you seeing on the ground there?

I like the numbers published by 538: Nate Silver's Politcal Calculus
Obama is a 4:5 favorite for re-election (83.7%) and a Democratic controlled Senate is projected as 91.5% probability.

The Des Moines Register endorsed Romney. First time in over forty years that liberal rag has endorsed a Republican.
Other factors included, Iowa will go Romney.

Barone and Morris are predicting blowout landslides for Romney.
Rove and Rollins are predicting closer but solid wins.
NO ONE is predicting a landslide for Obama.
NO ONE is predicting a solid win for Obama, not since the first debate.
A lot of folks are predicting a close election, the best possibility of a win for Zero.
So its there and worse for him.
Enthusiasm like 08? Nope…gone.
Most of his administration near 10% unemployment, and has never been better than when he took office. NEVER.
Only recently has he gotten close and that was by cooking the books, undercounting those discouraged and dropped out of th work force.
Coal mines being shut down.
An Obama tax of $2000 a year avg per family in higher gas prices. Routinely double that which he inherited. DOUBLE!
Getting rid of this clown is a no-brainer. I'm amazed ANYONE is voting for Zero, except we seem to have a monopoly on stupid in this country.
Or just a craven media. If Romney loses, it will be because of them. I no longer watch the mainstream media, but I understand any real info onBenghazi is being withheld. The unemployment situation is only presented as rosy and only the administrations lies are parrotted. If I only listened to NBC I'd probably vote for Obama too.
No, No I wouldn't. Can't be that stupid.

Especially when you toss Wisconsin into the mix.
The fact we are even discussing the POSSIBILITY of a blue state flip this late means the O campaign is in serious trouble.
Not one state...or two...but FOUR of FIVE!

Some of these states that some polls are showing as in play are really not. There is no way a heavily union state like Michigan is going R. Pennsylvania isn't in play either. The population centers of the state will vote D and carry the rest of the state kicking and screaming with them.
It will all come down to Ohio. I'd get comfortable with the likelihood of having 4 more years of Pres Obama.

To say nothing of all the D+8 polls out there using 2008 Dem turnout. Thats the only reason O has been even remotely competitive til now. BUT he's still <50% in Rasmussen/Gallup etc polls.
After 4 years any president that can't get above 50% is toast.

Cmon, the President has nothing to do with gas prices, regardless of who is in office. Supply and demand, the oil companies, OPEC, etc. They control oil prices. What would you want Obama to do, cut the fed gas tax? That would save us 18 cents per gallon.

That simply is not true. Increasing refinery capacity would generate some downward pressure on gas prices over the long term. That is an executive function, all you have to do is issue the permits to allow it.
