I'd like 888,888,808, but, being somewhat more reasonable that I once was, I'll go for the number sixty two (62) if it's still available.

Uh...what is the number thing?
The only collectables I have are coutesy of my father, his WWII
Ithica .45 and a Luger he wrestled eith from Hitler or Himmler...he was kinda confused on that part and the heat of the moment and all, and a war era Mauser in .32.
Have fired all three, the Mauser is a dream, the Luger I have not fired enough to get used to, and the .45 1911 has always gone bang.
So I am at the point in which I don't know if I should shoot them and enjoy them, or wrap them up in silicone and treat them as curios.
Thoughts?

Is a 1975-76 SW Mod 28 "collectable"?
My first weapon was bought in...1975-76? From a Baptist minister/FFL dealer in Ky..a Mod 28 .357 Smith.
Is any particular value attached to this beast now, oer the intervening years?
