That's nice. Don't think it will stomp a hole in a V max though.

In the twisties? Try keeping up. The vmax is literally more than twice the price of my bike too. And for what? .5 in the 1/4?

Coming from a former 1000RR owner, that's a nice little machine.
Enjoy it; be careful.

Please take an MSF safety course. You're in Florida. You need it.

Damn Euro, you're really pulling out all the stops to get that old bag in the sack.
Proud of you.

Depends on which VMax. The old or the new.

You know, if I were in my mid-90s...well, lets just say I wouldn't have to play all these games to get her attention..

I took one in July, but I'm trying to find a sportbike class focused on street riding.
I'm not going to take this on the track, I don't care if I can turn at 160mph, I want to learn how to swerve quickly.
Oddly enough, my Aprilia felt easier to control than this. I just used the handlebars to counterstear and I'd swerve easily.
This, I have to use my whole body to lean. Its a little unnatural.

How are you and the old lady on her bicycle gonna go for your evening cruises after you wash your jetski? Very impractical...unless she's riding pillion....

I'll run that V-max with another vintage bike that was designed to do street fighting against it.
Stop light to stop light never lost to a Vmax

Why do you hate your legs so much? Jeans will shred within two feet of sliding. Then it's just flesh. They don't call it road rash for nothing.
Nice bike, btw.

Look for Streetmasters, or total control. The Keith Code class is great if you like to race. I would bet you need your suspension setup for you. It is the single biggest improvement in handling IMO.

Baby steps. I rode my last bike for a month before I even bought a helmet.
Then I rode in flip flops and shorts.
I know I'm not all the way yet, but progress is being made. What kind of pants do you recommend?

Is that the modell equipped with the abs braking system?
ETA: get your suspension set up for your weight /riding style like others have mentioned, it makes a night day difference. Have fun and be safe.

Sometimes riding pants just arent practical. Im all for wearing gear, and I have riding pants that I have worn plenty of times for highway or interstate riding, but for riding around town they dont get pulled out. I feel like very few people on here with motorcycles wear riding pants EVERY time they take a spin on their bike.

I like draggin Jeans they are Kevlar lined and warm as the PNW can get pretty cold.
Most of the time I wear these.
They are reasonable as far as price and the double front gives added protection. I personally don't like to do the biker look. I wear a textile jacket, jeans, boots and helmet with gloves. The helmet I like to the bike and I put the gloves and jacket in a tail bag. They make some nice rear seat bags if you don't ride with a pillion
as well.

For regular tooting around, jeans/khakis are fine.
For more aggressive riding (i.e. planned ahead rides), wear heavier protective clothings like leather jacket & pants or heavy cordura jacket & pants.
