They cost more because they are made better. Detractors can say what they want otherwise but it doesn't make it any less true.

Don't like the price? Then spend your money elsewhere since these gun's aren't for you.

There are those of us that will gladly shell over the extra $$ for quality.
That is a complete lie. The polymer frame of the USP45 was much more easily scratched and damaged than any Glock I've ever had. How is that better quality?

Frankly I'd just like to see HK stop overcharging for their guns. The fanboy mentality of getting more for your dollar is just that. Fanboy mentality. Stop with the poor design, make them striker fired, stop using poor quality plastics, and stop treating the civilian market in the US like an afterthought.

If you take apart both guns and look at the parts, the hk's are higher quality. The glocks seem to be very basic and inexpensive. But that's the way they were designed to be. However, there is something to be said about them in that they JUST WORK. There is really not many things to go wrong on them. They don't have to have many things taking place for them to go bang. I have glocks and do like them. I just prefer hk.

I've had both and prefer Glock. The only difference I saw that I would say was an advantage for HK was the springs. Seems HK used higher quality springs back then (and I assume still do). I didn't feel that justified the higher price though.

A P30S in 357SIG might just be the only gun capable of supplanting my P229 as an EDC gun.

Hey woodenplank. That 229 sure is a fine shooting specimen, isn't it? I just bought a p2000 357sig and shot it side by side with my p229. Its real close. Im in love with both of them. Ive been carrying the p2000 a little more lately, though. Now a 357sig barrel in the p30. Oh my! Might be a game changer.

I want them to redesign these damn USPs with a pictanny rail. Just that. Put the same rail system that is on all modern pistols.

single action or double action. sa, my hk was a dream. d.a.? ummm....

magazine prices are pretty much what they are.

never a striker fired hk shall exist...so it is written, so shall it be done.

however...if the lowered the pricetag a bit, i bet they could bury sig and glock in about 2 years.

and perhaps, another metal frame.

The P7 series pistols are all striker fired.

I'd be happy if HK just started making those again. Maybe even make a model with a polymer frame.

In my opinion, there are too many manufacturers already making decent striker fired pistols and excellent 1911's for HK to really remain competitive by producing those products.

I have a Sig P239 SRT 357 Sig and two German HK P2000 357 Sig LEMs with serial numbers 7 apart.
Call them The Twins.

Change out the TRS and FPBS springs to light on the P2K
producing a crisp ~5 lbs trigger.
Then the game really will change.

I hear you talk a lot about how good that light trigger is on your p2000 357sig, that I might have to just do the same on mine soon to see what I'm missing. I still have mine the way it came lem v2. Ive shot it a few times and I just love that darn gun. I'm desperately waiting for my Kramer horsehide scabbard to come in, but they take like 4 weeks to custom make them. I'm going crazy. As far as your p239 357sig. That's another fine gun too. We were issued those at work to back up our p226 357 sig. For whatever reason I seemed to be more accurate with the 239 over the 226. Go figure. 2 years ago we switched and now carry the 31/33. I sure do miss those sigs though.

I agree about the P7. I carried one as an armored car driver back in the 1980's. It was one of the best pointing pistols I ever had.
