A P30S in 357SIG might just be the only gun capable of supplanting my P229 as an EDC gun.

Hey woodenplank. That 229 sure is a fine shooting specimen, isn't it? I just bought a p2000 357sig and shot it side by side with my p229. Its real close. Im in love with both of them. Ive been carrying the p2000 a little more lately, though. Now a 357sig barrel in the p30. Oh my! Might be a game changer.

HK has built many of them. Some in .357 Sig as well.

They cost more because they are made better. Detractors can say what they want otherwise but it doesn't make it any less true.

Don't like the price? Then spend your money elsewhere since these gun's aren't for you.

There are those of us that will gladly shell over the extra $$ for quality.

I want them to redesign these damn USPs with a pictanny rail. Just that. Put the same rail system that is on all modern pistols.

single action or double action. sa, my hk was a dream. d.a.? ummm....

magazine prices are pretty much what they are.

never a striker fired hk shall exist...so it is written, so shall it be done.

however...if the lowered the pricetag a bit, i bet they could bury sig and glock in about 2 years.

and perhaps, another metal frame.

The P7 series pistols are all striker fired.

I'd be happy if HK just started making those again. Maybe even make a model with a polymer frame.

In my opinion, there are too many manufacturers already making decent striker fired pistols and excellent 1911's for HK to really remain competitive by producing those products.

I have a Sig P239 SRT 357 Sig and two German HK P2000 357 Sig LEMs with serial numbers 7 apart.
Call them The Twins.

Change out the TRS and FPBS springs to light on the P2K
producing a crisp ~5 lbs trigger.
Then the game really will change.

I hear you talk a lot about how good that light trigger is on your p2000 357sig, that I might have to just do the same on mine soon to see what I'm missing. I still have mine the way it came lem v2. Ive shot it a few times and I just love that darn gun. I'm desperately waiting for my Kramer horsehide scabbard to come in, but they take like 4 weeks to custom make them. I'm going crazy. As far as your p239 357sig. That's another fine gun too. We were issued those at work to back up our p226 357 sig. For whatever reason I seemed to be more accurate with the 239 over the 226. Go figure. 2 years ago we switched and now carry the 31/33. I sure do miss those sigs though.

I agree about the P7. I carried one as an armored car driver back in the 1980's. It was one of the best pointing pistols I ever had.

Glock is always going to win capacity and size/weight efficiency so even if HKs were the same price I think Glocks would still sell. Sig might be in real trouble though, but OTOH it's kind of a different platform (all metal primarily).

I like the guns they make, except I want sights that shoot to 6:00 point of aim, and shorter resets on both the LEM and DA/SA.

I see no reason to remove the right slide lock lever. AFAIK, you can run the gun fine without it installed, no?

Not much in the way of aftermarket for the HKs, unfortunately.

Striker fired P30 with the bore axis of a Glock. That would be a must have firearm for me.

I guess she is heavier?
But my P30 40 at 13+1 matches up very well with a Glock G23.
Or the P30 9mm vs a G19.

Nice looking specimen. Dam%. The drumbeat is slowly getting louder. How does she shoot?

The HK45C DA/SA shoots sweet.
Ran a few boxes of Winchester Ranger T-Series 230 gr
standard and +P through her.
Haven't tried with the extended threaded HK45CT barrel yet.
My DA/SA LEM conversion kit arrives tomorrow.
Already have LEM light springs and XS Big Dot NS in hand.
Along with ~250 rounds of Federal 230 gr 45 JHP and 250 Ranger T +P.
Should have my tuned HK45CT LEM Light ready in a week or two.
~5 lbs LEM trigger 45 - This is going to be fun!
