It's a little hard to see, but either you have giant grass blades in North Carolina, which I don't recall, or that's a medium sized house cat.

Pretty hard to confirm from that pic. Hard to confirm or not confrim for that matter. Mt lions out here are a whole lot beefier than the cat in that pic.

While deer hunting once, I shot and killed a Bobcat.

When I went to look for it...could not find it. I knew I hit it...then wondered if I wounded it. Was it pizzed and gonna attack me??? Eventually, I found it by stepping on it...it was a bobtail kitty cat...

Everything looks bigger through a Leupold.

Speaking of those crazy cats... Nobody believes that we have them in Illinois nowadays. What do you guys think?

I think everybody is convinced that there are some crazy cats coming out of Illinois. Our real problem is keeping them there.

The scale is all wrong for a mount'n lion Ash.

Did you take that pic in metric? (Bow to Restless' boat speed thread. )

well i reset the cams , hopefully i will get some clearer pics that will determine if its a mountain lion , water moccasin , or a toomah lol . i agree the pic is tricky to the eye , and that is only pic i got . neighbor said they have seen it and it is not a house cat . so hopefully i can get some good shots now.

There is only one way to shut up the naysayers. Tie up a house cat out in the sticks with a couple of cameras watching. When the mountain lion shows up to eat the cat, you'll instantly know how big it is compared to a cat.

This is simple math, folks. Jeez, I can't believe that I'm the first one to suggest this common sense approach.

How about this one? Dmpd shot a mountain lion less than a block from my brothers house just last week. Probably a good half mile inside city limits with an elementary and middle school a couple blocks away.

Wow, another exaggerated/inaccurate/wrong thread? Well, guess you can't expect a cat to change it's spots!
