I love Glock versatility.
Hello all! I'm new to the Glock Talk community; joined yesterday. I enjoy reading all of y'all's posts and replies. I have a Glock 23 and I absolutely love this pistol. My buddy at work informed me that I can order a stock Glock 32 barrel and make it a .357 Sig. I ordered the barrel a few years back and I have to say, that's quite a round lol! About two years ago I ordered a 9mm conversion barrel extended and ported along with two Glock 19 mags. I read where some say its good to change the extractor when using the 9mm conversion, then I've read where people say its not necessary. I've never went as far to change that, only the barrel and mags and let er' rip!! In my opinion to be able to have 3 guns in 1 with a total cost of a little over 700.00, that's sweet! Do any of you all convert your Glocks from time to time? I will attach a pic of my G23 with my extended & ported LW 9mm barrel.

Welcome to GT! I also have a g23, its a gen4 and while I bought it to have a gun chambered in 40, it ended up being my favorite gun of all time. A better all around gun there is not. I plan on one day getting the conversion barrels you have, but for now I am more than content to just shoot 40. For a SHTF case, I think one could be very well equipped with a G23 and an extra barrel or two.
You made a good choice with the g23!

Thanks MonsterB! I have to agree that the G23 is a perfect all around firearm. I love all my guns but I love being able to change the Glock up on the fly like that.

Welcome to GT JokerG23, and mad220860!
I have a 23, and it's my only 9MM. Barrel swap, and G19 mags is all I needed, and it runs flawlessly. See no reason for any other part change out, unless of course you have problems with functioning, but I doubt it. Enjoy the versatility of the 23, and likewise enjoy Glock Talk!

Welcome ! Now you may want to get a conversion kit and shoot 22 rim fire out of it also.

Interesting thread. I was just now thinking about getting a 9mm barrel for my G27. I wonder if there's anyone out there with a spare gen 3 G26 barrel? I might need to talk the boss out of some $$. Besides, I can save $$ in the future with cheaper ammo. I'd like to have a 9mm, and this is the cheapest way to get one - but then I'd still have the .40S&W too. Lovely.

Joker, Welcome to GT! The G23 is rapidly becoming my favorite. I picked up the G32 barrel and have a 9mm conversion on order. The versatility of having a three caliber gun is worth a lot. Enjoy you G23!!

CrakerKen, Just want to be sure I didn't misunderstand your post, but you can't just put a G26 barrel in a 27. It won't work. It has to be a specially made conversion barrel.

Yes the barrel has to be a special conversion barrel in order to chamber 9mm. Lone Wolf Distributors is the way to go in my opinion. The only STOCK SWAPS is between .40 S&W and .357 Sig chambered Glocks. I've read that the .45 or 10mm can convert to something but I haven't really looked into it.

No Tyler sorry. The 9mm Glocks are what they are. Just the .40 and .357's convert. I was typing out that last part before I saw what you asked.

The Glock 17 may convert to .22lr. I didn't think about that. Like I said also, I read somewhere that the G20 and the G21 can convert but I'm not 100% if that's right or not.

The G20 has about as much versatility as they get. The G20 can be changed to .40 S&W, .357 Sig, and 9x25 Dillon. The G21 has a 10MM, and 45 Super conversion available.

I use a KKM 40-9mm conversion barrel in my 23C some. It is so accurate I'm tempted to carry it that way from time to time.

Yeah I've read nothing but good reviews on KKM barrels. Glad you love yours. I feel the same about my LW, the accuracy is crazy good lol.

Awesome pic! I've read a lot of good stuff on Storm Lake barrels as well. That's a cool outfit you have there.
