Any PICS of Custom GRIP Work or Reductions??

Hey all,

Does anyone have a M20 or 21 that they have had work done on the grip to make it fit smaller hands? I know there are shops out there that do work like this, but have never seen or handled one. I happen to find these 2 models uncomfortable and and can see how these mods might be a benefit.

I have also seen pics of these models that are modded where they take the mags of their little brothers like the 29 and 30.

Has anyone owned or shot one of these modded full sized Glocks? How did they feel and how did you like it? What's your thoughts on such modifications?

i know cold bore customs is near you and they do great work. Another option is lone star armory up here in DFW. LSA has worked one 4 of my glocks and done a great time every time. Sounds like you are looking for a grip reduction and a frame chop. I would look at both websites and see which products look better to you.

You live in Spring.. Drive down to Cold bore customs in Katy, Texas and them do the work for your gun...

the drive down to Katy to check out Cold Bore Customs sounds interesting. I like to check out parts of the state I haven't seen yet. Only been here 8 months.
I looked at their website and they do have some great looking custom work to choose from. The only Glock I have right now is a G19 in OD Green. I like the way it is now and don't know if I would want to do any changes to it. I am looking into the work for a 20 or 21. I am thinking about one of those to use for backup when I go pig hunting. Not a hunting handgun, just a backup. The 20 and 21 are BIG frames, as you all well know, and they aren't very comfortable in my hands. I haven't handled the sf framed models so I don't know how well they would fit my hand.

I'm guessing the work they would do to make the 21 more comfortable to those that have smaller hands would be to get rid of the finger grooves and just reduce the diameter of the grip and stipple what's left. Is that about right? I'd like to check out one of those to see what it did feel like. Who know's, I might like it enough to have it done on my G19.

Do you all think that Cold Bore would have some work samples there for people to handle and look at if they stopped by?

Not sure but I wouldn't be surprised to see if they had customer worked or demo pistols available for you to see and handle.

Lane at CBC does outstanding work on polymer pistols. He has done a few for me and everyone of them has been flawless. He has a great eye for detail and it shows in his work.

Lane at Cold Bore Customs is a one man shop, and he's a full-time active duty cop. For that reason you're not likely to get to tour his shop and good luck catching him off duty. As cops we tend to be pretty protective about our home turf. That's my experience at least.

Nala, just look at his website. There's tons of great pics there. You can't go wrong getting a 21 or 20 and having the grip reduced. It's not slim like a G17, but it's way better than a stock G21/20. I did my own 21 and it feels great now. Never had a problem with the original wide grip, just a little too slippery.

..if you don't mind me asking, how much for all of that? Thinking of doing something similar to that and was wondering how much it'll cost me
