It's snowing.
2 inches on the ground.
I hate winter.

Looks like about 4 or 5 inches on the roof next door.

No snow here but we went from 60's in the morning to low 30's in one day.
I've already worn my insulated coveralls a few times

We always get our first snow in October. Usually just later in the month.
We never had a real summer, it was always too cool to ride home without a jacket and gloves at 6am when I got off work.

I can't wait for snow to hit PA. Now that I have a job five minutes from home I don't mind the travel and I love the snow.

No snow here in the Appalachian mountains in WV. But it is pretty cool. About 40 degrees or so.

Out snow, out! I'm hoping for a repeat of last winter. Warm and snow free.

I agree! Last winter was real nice, with exception of the halloween snow storm and the one in the spring. I was able to ride my motorcycle a few times in december, january, AND february. That isn't typical for these parts, but I'll take it!

Winter is threatening here in MN also. We haven't had snow yet in my area, but it usually comes at least by Halloween.
I like little critters and birds so my feeder (10 foot long, 10 feeders) is getting significant attention from the Southerly travelers today. I figure I am going through 40 lbs. of High Oil Sunflower seeds every 5 days.
The heated bird bath is also very busy. fun to see the birds go from chowing down, to the bath, get a drink, and back to the feeder. Who said no "in flight food".
Got a little tame rabbit running around the neighbors yard. So cute. At 2 AM I go into the back yard and he comes running over to the fence to get something to eat.
Drought here, so I give him veggies with high water content. He eats out of my hand. So cool.

I've seen it snow twice here in my 16 years in Florida, once last winter.

The mountain or northern west.
Here last week it 101. I am still wearing shorts although I do put on a sweatshirt on in the morning and at night.
I always like hitting these two sites every fall and winter:
http://www.intellicast.com/Travel/We...now/Cover.aspx
http://www.weather.com/maps/activity...dex_large.html
In 30 years or so when the wife and I are retired and the kids are settled we are going to have to get an RV and hit the road watching the seasons change all over the country.

My cousin in Minnesota was pining for Winter, in the middle of this last, brutal Summer.
I reminded her of how she commented last year about finally having to break down and turn on the heat.
In Thailand, where it's always hot, my SIL tells me she has dreams of snow.
San Diego, CA. Mildest weather in the country.
