Name this car...with a twist!

(Of course Bill will know this...)

This is a 1931 Rolls Royce (isnt it magnificent!)

This is a 1929 Rolls Royce

This is a 1924 Rolls Royce.

They are all three different models. What is unusual about these three cars (they are not the only ones) that is different from most Rolls Royces?

Most people dont know this little data point.... Good Luck

That is true, but that was true about a lot of models of cars back then.

No, this is far more glaring and unifying.

Bingo. I thought that one might take a little longer.

Yes. Those are all Springfields.

Most people dont know (and why would they) that Rolls Royce opened a plant in the U.S. to make their cars for the U.S. market. 1921-1935 (I think 35) in Springfield, Massachusetts.

The 31 and the 29 are Springfields, the white touring car is not. It is right hand drive and has the European stick bumper. The for the US plant is that Rolls refused to build a left hand drive car. The deal was made to license build the cars at the Springfield plant. The Americanized Rolls wound up being a more user friendly car.

Brewster built a lions share of the bodies.

You messed me up, Rabbi, I could not find a thing common to all three cars.

Hmmmm. You are right, it is right hand drive (and I missed that)...again, hmmmmm.

Rebodied English car? Not a real Springfield...?

Trust me, it is not a Springfield. Sometimes the guys who write those descriptions don't what they're talking about and sometimes they're trying to create something that does not exist.

Of course, I have seen a number of flat out lies in a cars description...I cant believe I missed the stearing wheel on the right side though...

here's a correct 24 sport touring. The stick bumper is okay on a silver ghost.

They only made them in the USA from 1920-1926. Correct?
