Sorry! Thought it was in his second term. Forgot he was elected originally in 2000 not 1998.

Stop being obtuse. The guy is not going to win. The best he can do is cost Romney a point or two - as you are so nicely proving. That is the only math that matters.

Johnson was elected in 1995 and out in 2003.

Ron Paul lies about being a republican too... he sells out his own principles to run on the 2 party ticket, then when he loses, refuses to help the party he ran on.

He wanted to cut social security, but collects from it.

Wasn't Gary a republican too, til he lost in the primaries? So, was he like RP lying to be in the republican running, or did he sell out when he didn't get the nomination?

Ron Paul didn't abandon the Republican party, the Republican party abandoned Ron Paul.
The Republican party of today is in no way like the Republican party of yesteryear.

Because the Republican nominee is a flip flopping carpetbagger who is a RINO?

Paul was/is an establishment Republican who collects from .gov programs he's against.
edit - I voted for Paul in my state's primary.

I think the establishment Republicans in Washington would disagree with you.
Awesome, glad you voted for him.

Yep...it's so easy to see straight through Romney, but the hate for Obama will make most people praise him anyway. The Romney love-fest is strong here though...if you're not voting for him you'll be called an Obama lover, rebel, Paulbot, etc.
(I'm voting Gary Johnson...don't tell anyone... )

Then who are you going to make up non-obtuse arguments against about make believe probabilities, scales, thank you cards from Obama supporters and all the other laser precise brilliant apothegms you Romney guys come up with? Tell me who is going to make these great voting mathematical advances if obtuse indirect Obama single beam scale tipping supporters don't spur the brilliance along. This election is too important.
Now can someone please go into great detail about how supporting Gary Johnson is really a vote for Obama?

Its been explained 10 times over. If you cant get it through your heads, sorry, no amount of explaining will help you. Simply asking the same question over and over is a Katie Couric trick.
If you really dont like Obama, yet you will vote for someone who stands no chance at winning, instead of the person who could beat him with your vote and others like you, then you are giving the election to Obama.
If thats too complicated for you, you probably shouldnt be voting in the first place. Your willingness to sacrifice things like the 2nd amendment so that you can "stand your moral ground" doesnt make you morally superior, it makes you stupid.

But how does voting for Johnson take away a vote for Romney? Wouldn't that mean that voting for Romney takes away a vote for Johnson by the distributive property so that if enough people vote for Romney, Johnson will end up with negative votes? I guess I'll wait till after the election to see if you guys are right.

I'm voting for the best man for the job, not one turd over another turd.
And by the way, how's that voting for the "lesser evil" working out for you in Illinois?
Thought so.
When you live in a ****pond, you don't get to tell other people how to vote.

People don't seem to understand that republicans do NOT reflect the views of libertarians. It's a shame this country doesn't care much for the constitution anymore.

Exactly...so why do so many libertarians run as republicans...but then shun the party when they lose nominations? Every libertarian I have ever met HATES Abe Lincoln.

I think the fact that they lose the nomination demonstrates the fact that republicans don't reflect their beliefs. Why support people who don't think like you?
