Go back 'til Christ and point out even a thin slice of time in which free-markets worked without some regulation.

I'll give you a pass. You can't.

I agree with you quite a bit, but not voting for Romney is voting for Obama. No matter how you slice it.

Spot on. I would also add that absent coherent regulation, free markets often spin into monopoly, which can also kill efficiency and throttle growth.

Obama continuously looked at his shoes. He had the appearance of a kid caught stealing.

MSNBC is pretty upset. Mathews is talking about how Obama sucked....really.

That is impressive....wow, he is melting down.

OK, Romney did well. Whatever he was doing, worked.

How's Rachael Maddow and Ed Schultz taking it? That will be a good gauge. Are they subdued? Pissed? Jubilant? Calling it a *ahem* tie?

No, they are both flat out saying Romney won. Actually saying that.

They are very mad...VERY MAD.

Finally someone with the guts to call Obama on the energy issue and state publicly that all increase in drilling and production has been done on PRIVATE land and Obama can not take credit for that.

That's another good call. Obama looked really pizzed more than once. Romney looked thoughtful, maybe concerned, a few times but never mad.

Clear win. Only the drunkest of leftists will call it otherwise.

I feel a lot better now.

It is up to the American people but Romney was very impressive.

Romney assumed the close.

I wonder if Obama’s and Romney’s secret internal polls are telling them more than we know.

There was a Reagan vibe to Romney too when he gestured to the Constitution at the back of the stage.

He was talking notes (honestly, he was)...but that was not the right thing to do. It made it LOOK like he was beaten, looking at his shoes, mad....

Optics matter.

Race, religion and everything else put aside I am looking at the hard facts between the 2 which is the following.

Obama has been right about one thing, we need change and that change is to fire the man who has collected a pay check for the last 4 years for doing nothing but hurting this country. This country deserves a fighting chance and Obama proved he can't deliver that, we need to give Romney a chance now.
