So because you don't like something, that means others can't, either?

To each, his own opinion. I don't like Hi-points or Invictas either, but I'm not going to try to tell you not to post them.

If Hi-Point made a 1911 that was as reliable as an Ed Brown, looked like an Ed Brown, but sold for 1/50th of the price of an Ed Brown, you would whine because why?

I don't know kind of the same reason that I would not want to have a ferrari clone built on a pontiac fiero, If you can't have the real thing why bother. Life is too short.

Citizen Eco-Drive chronograph. It was my first quality watch. When I bought jsut a couple months shy of 3 years ago it I really started getting into watches and was going to save up and buy a Tag Heuer but then I decided the Eco-Drive worked fine and would rather spend my money on beer and guns. I still wouldn't mind owning a quality automatic watch though.

If we're going to keep the Invicta's out we need to boot all the luminoxes and casio's of various makes and citizens and... so on.

Try again.

Yeah Invicta's aren't outright knockoffs of Rolex but it's obvious what they are trying to look like. That's fine. The Rolex Submariner is a really cool looking but still elegant design but not everyone can afford one. I was referring more to outright counterfits of Rolex, which is what I thought you were talking about at first. Then I read back a little further. I wasn't talking about Invicta.
You know, I like Rolex watches but I'm not sure I'd ever want to wear one. From what I've heard, they have an un-rivaled penchant for attracting unwanted attention (Thugs, dumasses, etc.) I think I'd rather have something like an Omega Seamaster or a Tag Heuer. They are arguably just as nice but they don't attract near the attention that a Rolex would.

I cannot say 'never,' well, yeah, I can say never as it applies in the figurative sense for me, so here goes, "I never wear a watch." (And I see no use for pocket watches.) So everyone please just tel me the time when I ask. Thanks.

Uh huh, a Glock is "just as nice" as a hand-fitted Wilson Combat too.

Are you saying that a Fiero with a body kit is the same as a Ferrari?
Yeah, Sigmund Freud had a theory about people like that too. He called them CRAZIES!!!

Because it still wouldn't be a Colt. If it's not a Colt, then it's a copy. I don't care if it's Ed Brown, Ted Yost, or Hephaestus himself crafted an M1911. If it ain't a Colt, it's a copy.

I wear a Rolex GMT-II Master everyday since 1997. Just bought the wife a Rolex Yachtmaster men's model (her preference) in Gold and Stainless a few years ago for her 30th birthday.

AirCav, you have bueno taste. Love that set. The Planet Ocean got my watch bug back in gear and the Sinn is a beautifully crafted line.

Probably the longest lasting most worn watch I own. I bought it at a Seiko outlet in Maine about 20 years ago, pepsi bezel Seiko Automatic diver....the thing still is a fantastic watch to own.
