IKEA AA batteries
If any of you have an IKEA store near you they have a 10 pack of AA batteries for $1.99 I've bought them over the past year or so and they seem to perform fine. Maybe not as great as some of the more expensive brands but adequate for the price. They seem to last at least as long as the Duracell or Energizer in my wireless trackpad and wireless keyboard.
Do fine in small flashlights as well.
You could stash 200 for $40.
We always seem to need them anyway and the bright yellow cover makes them easy to find in low light.

Good deal. That's cheaper than I mail-order them for.

They're a bit better than the Dollar Tree batteries.
I mostly use batteries in LED flashlight, remotes, Wii and such. In those types of devices they (Dollar Tree and Ikea) do well.
One test is digital cameras. Brand new Dollar Tree cells won't even power up our old Panasonic Lumix, but the Ikeas will for a little while.

I personally can't stand Ikea but if I'm ever near one that price on batteries may be worth stopping in there. Do they have them in a display by the door? I hope so because walking all the way to the back of an Ikea store may drive me completely insane.

Typically on some big pallets just behind the checkout registers.

The "Members Mark" batteries at Sam's Club are actually Energizer batteries exactly as sold under the original name and half the price.
They are even found at the Energizer display.

The costco batteries are NOT as good as energizer or duracell. mA-hr/dollar they are close, but still not as good IMO.

Yes, the IKEA brand ones are much better than some of the other "cheap" batteries. Still using them and I'll be buying again.

When buying off-brand batteries, consider using them only in devices where you know you will be inspecting the batteries regularly, or in devices you can afford to forfeit if you neglect to detect leakage before the device is destroyed.
Generally, if the device absolutely must not be destroyed by leaky batteries, spend the extra money, and go lithium.

I generally avoid IKEA unless absolutely necessary as they are a "gun free zone", and have it prominently posted by the door of my local store.

IKEA by my house is permanently packed to the gills with people wanting "European experience". I'm from Europe, and I don't get it.
