You mean the ceramic sabots that slip through airport security?

I don't really understand the question, but welcome to GT. If you can explain a little more, we'll be able to help you out I bet.

10mm SABOT
I'm interested in sub-calibre 10mm SABOTs, such as 10mm to .223. Or any other sub-calibre rounds. I'm looking for super-sonic sub-calibre 10mm SABOTs.

Well, I've never seen that. What kind of 10mm gun do you have?

Yeah, well, while you're interested in it, there really isn't much in the way of that here.

I gotta G29 w/custom Barstow 5.5" barrel. I have the equipment to load .224 BOZ, but I'm looking for 10mm/.224 SABOT or something equivalent. Looking to shoot prairie dogs at 100+yrds.

uh, because aside from a very small group of niche shooters, there's no market, and no viable need/target to fill really.

Understood, nevertheless does there exist a 10mm/.224 SABOT or any 10mm sub-calibre SABOT?

As a commercially available product? None that I know of.
Back when the 10mm forum was going, I do beleive there were a few special order group purchases of them, when we were shooting/talking the .224 BOZ etc. But I don't know if any of that information survived the many purges/server updates we've had.
If you're really interested in it, your best bet would be to contact a sabot maker, and see what it would cost for a custom run.

That's kind of an interesting idea. I never thought of using sabots in a 10mm. Keep us posted on how this works out.
Will the 10mm not handle prairie dogs at 100+ yards? I shoot 100 yard targets all the time with both my 10mm pistols. I've never hunted prairie dogs so I don't fully understand the advantage of the saboted 224 over a standard 10mm.

10mm SABOT
AKRover;
Originally, I became interested in the .224 BOZ, even bought dies and a reamer but never followed up with a barrel maker. About that time I became aware of the FNH Five-seveN, after that f-ing Muslim at Fort Hood opened fire and killed several American servicemen.
I am looking forward to a Five-seveN model that will accept a holographic sight.
Until then, I'm looking for a 10mm-.223 SABOT.
I like the idea of a super-sonic handgun round.

Try a 6" 9x25 conversion barrel. I know they make them for the G20, but I'm not certain if they'll fit into the G29. Then again, why the extra money on all that stuff? Just buy a bunch of 10mm ammo and start blasting away at those little rats. A different type of ammo isn't going to extend the sight radius on that gun, so just use 10mm loads.

9x25 Dillon conversion was my first thought but thought there might be something I was missing.
Hot 10mm rounds are supersonic rounds and the 9x25 Dillon is advertised at 1600 fps out of a 6" barrel.

10mm SABOT
Hi Guys;
Seems like ya'll love your 10mms. Me too. But I also love flat, fast trajectory. So, I'm just poking around to see if I can get a round to fire out of my G29 w/5.5" Custom Bar-Stow @ >2200FPS. I think that'd be kinda cool.

It might be in that other thread, but I thought there were problems with pressure spikes

I went looking for this but in 45ACP/Super. I came to the conclusion that I could sabot down to 357, but not to .224.
After learning a little about 3d printers......I think I will print myself some sabots when I get back to someplace I can test.
