Yep.

I prefer this one on my hip much more than the 5-1/2" Blackhawk I have...

Like everything else, it's a tradeoff - shorter sight radius, lower velocities... I tend to think 4-5" barrels are the best compromise for backpacking / hiking / woods work in general.

A heavy load of 300-gr hard cast .44 Mag will still thump like a mofo out of the short barrel SuperBlackhawk.

I prefer it as my woods gun.

Which are you?

I concur, but I mentioned the 5-5 1/2 length so it would have more purpose. For myself, need 5" minimum length to hunt deer in Ohio. The anniversary model had that length. Like my firearms to be multitaskers.

You would still be polar opposites, no matter how much expendable funds you have! Money won't change that!

I love my 7.5" SBH .44, but it's huge.

I'm not opposed to any gun. But why do you want a single action wheel gun over your Glock 10mm for a woods gun?

I don't. This deal popped up. I passed.

I just want a 44.

My 8 3/8" 29-2 is far too big for a woods gun, fun as hell to shoot though!
