Way late to this party:
I'll generally always have 1 of the following on me: Kershaw Leek composite, Kershaw Rake (composite), or a modified Kershaw Junk Yard Dog composite.
The Leek and the Rake are assisted opening - the JYD is a flipper.
The JYD (bottom knife) has been modified with a different pocket clip for right-handed tip-up carry. Wasn't concerned with the Kershaw warranty being voided with the work - it's a factory blemished knife w/o a warranty in the first place.
Leek: 1660CB
Rake: 1780CB
JYD II: 1725CB

Surefire crank. Never had a better edge on a straight blade with some utility options as well.

I carry a cheapo $5.00 WalMart "Winchester" folding lockblade.
It's a better quality knife than those costing +5x or more. I've had this one since May and it's still out of the box sharp and I cut everything from gasket material, cardboard, 1/8" rubber, wood, and many other things that you would never cut with a $50.00 knife and it's still very sharp.

$100 says it snaps if you apply a lateral load to it... It wouldn't be a five dollar knife if it was better than one costing 5X as much.
I'm pleased that you're pleased with it, but you didn't strike gold here... You got a cheap knife that holds an edge, which is done by heat treatment of middling steel at the cost of toughness. Chuck the tip of it in a vice, and try to bend it 1/2" off true, and I'm betting it'll break. Not only that, the handle and scales will come loose, the hinge pin will bend, and the spring will also get knocked outta whack, if it doesn't break too. There's a reason why these very expensive knives cost so much, and some of them are what I just listed above. Any knife can get ruined through abuse, but the best ones will hold up to a hell of a lot before they fail, and thats what matters.
I'm not picking on you, it's just something I'm passionate about. You will always get what you pay for, and rarely anything more.

Quoted for truth. Even if the $5 knife is better than one costing 5X as much, $25 doesn't buy much knife.

I've got a line on a slightly used ZT 0350 combo edge (with the Elmax edge!)... I hope I'm first in line with the "I'll take it"...

Strider RW-1 on strong side, cheap Gerber assist open weak side. Gerber for cutting tape, boxes, etc. and the Strider for heavier uses. I think it gets used as a pry bar almost as much as it does as a knife.

Don't hate me... But I got it for a hunnert bucks.
There's one little ding on the scales - but at least they're not filthy dirty. And it's been sharpened by a knife-sharpening guru.
I'm the 3rd owner of this one - it's not the newest version.
