Shot my next 1911 today.

So I made a trip up to Guncrafter Industries this morning. While I was there Alex and Dave showed me several of the 1911's they build and some things to come. I really like the No. 1 and and got to shoot one that was suppressed! Really cool! I also got a closer look at all the 50 gi 1911's they build as well as the .45acp conversion barrels. Talk about a bull barrel! A No. 1 w/45 conv. is definitely on the short, short list! I felt like a kid in a toy store!

I dig thier 50GI round, and think the commander bobbed frame is absolutely one of the most beautiful guns I've ever seen, and a cartridge that shuts up any 45ACP fanboy.

"I carry a 45 because they don't make a 46!" Oh really? I also really like their glock conversions.

Super jealous, would love an opportunity to visit the shop and see everything that is going on there.

Did you get to see any of the things that might be coming out in the near future??

I got to handle a No. 3. Very nice!

I've also heard the ".... because they don't make a 45!" line. I actually used to feel that way, though I never used that line. I love .45 acp but I carry a G26 or a Kahr PM9. So I don't feel the need for a 50GI other than for fun.

Pretty cool huh? The .50GI with the suppressor is way cool. I bet you're a GC fan for life now.

Did the suppressed Model 1 look a little something like this...?

It looks exactly the same, because that's the one you were shooting. That's the one I shot too.

I was about to ask you how much that cost you. Thought you had one of your own.

How's the accuracy with the 50GI? Just as good as the .45acp?

Shoots as good as a .45ACP in my hands.

I'd hate to see you waiting on a Wilson. You'd be in the nut house.

I do have a hard time waiting but this NN was my first semi that I had to wait for. I know what to expect now so it wouldn't be a problem. Well,... at least not as big of a problem.

Alex showed me several very neat things while I was there. I've got a itch for that HUGE .45 bull barrel! That and some of the new things they've got coming sound pretty cool.

I still haven't shot my NN yet. Going to have to do that this weekend!

Very cool

Guncrafter builds some of the best 1911s around.
