Recommend a wireless range extender that works?

Hi, I've got a client that needs to extend the range of their wireless network. They have a 2Wire AT&T modem/wireless router. I already installed a Netgear N600 & switched them to that, but it's still not helping - need a true wireless repeater/range extender.

Yes, the Netgear technically has the capability to act as a repeater/range extender, but I've never gotten that function to work and IIRC, there's actually a known firmware bug that was causing it.

Anyway, can anyone recommend a simple device that will latch onto the current wireless network and extend its range?

Thanks

Have you tried using any aftermarket firmware (ie DD-WRT) on that Netgear router? It can be more stable than the 'stock' firmware, and make it easier to use the functionality built in to the router. I've put it on a Linksys E3000 recently, and it has been working perfectly. I don't have that router configured as a repeater (not what they needed), just as an extension of their existing network. I'd check it out. If not, I like the Linksys E series, I've also got one at home, and it's been working pretty well for the last month that I've had it.
