Can someone send me a high-end 1911 to try?
Spent the afternoon shooting my 232, p226, rock 1911 9mm, sw 44 mountain gun, kimber 1911 and DW valor.
I can't imagine a better shooting 1911 than my valor- the trigger rivals my older SW's.

I'd have you over for a little plinking if you lived closer. Having quite a variety of 1911s I'll say that if one is doing combat type shooting, shooting on the move, drawing from the holster, engaging multiple targets etc. the difference between a Kimber or a Baer/Wilson is negligible. The difference to me is most apparent when shooting slower for accuracy and just when handling the gun and noting how the parts fit together and the action locks up.

The Valor certainly has a great trigger.

Yah maybe I am stretching it bit with the comparison to older sw triggers, but it sure is nice for a 1911.
I think the best trigger I own is the 460 smith.
I just want to yank the trigger on a high end 1911!!!

My .460 S&W has a better trigger, in SA, than any of my high end 1911's. But I wouldn't want a trigger that light on any of my 1911's.

What's yellolabs idea of a "high end 1911"?

Very true
Its hard to compare a revolver in single action to an auto.

Something signifcantly better than my "best" 1911, which is the DW Valor.
Not much sense in getting a TRP, as I think that's comparable to the Valor, so what's the point?
I really need to get a better one, something with nice blueing, as I don't have a nice blued 1911.
