I still don't understand why people use AFGs like that though. They are designed to assist with an aggressive forearm-forward, thumb around the top of the handguard grip. Don't really see how that's possible with a shotgun and even if it is, putting your thumb on top of the barrel would be a BAD idea during firing.

Thanks, I sold a guitar, and had a hanger left, so it only seemed right to use it for the HD gun .
The AFG is just there to experiment with... I had it laying around with some AR parts, so I figured I'd see how it feels. So far, I don't like it much, but I figure I'll at least try it at the range first.

I've been wanting to try an afg also, but to many other projects. Good looking shot gun either way.

This 870 Express was my HD gun, but has now been relegated to 'truck gun'...new Wilson/Scattergun Border Patrol arrives tomorrow to cover HD duties.

My current (work in progress) setups for both my 12 gauges. NEF Pardner has a 5 shot shell sleeve filled with 00 Buck, recoil pad (not pictured), and a green TruGlo Fiberoptic front sight, 28" full choke barrel. Currently also serves as my trap/skeet gun. My Winchester 1300 is a Ranger modelwith a 22" smooth cylinder deer slug barrel with rifle sights. Currently has see through (not pictured) scope rings with a Simmons ProDiamond shotgun scope mounted, and a solid recoil pad as well. Holds 4+1 of Remington Managed Recoil 00 Buck. Looking to mount slings with extra shell holders on both, and maybe a mag extension for the pump. I'm all about wood stocks... I like old school, so they aren't exactly "tactical". I'll get there eventually. Maybe.
Feedback and suggestions are welcome!
