The few rifles I've sold over at Gunboards have always been with a 3 day, non-firing, non-disassembly inspection.

An historical review:
- Twelve years ago, firearms were sold on ebay. I bought a Glock on an ebay auction.
- Ebay later changed its policy; firearms and ammo could no longer be sold on ebay. Any such auction would be ended if detected. A string of such attempts could result in an ebay membership being terminated.
- Ebay buys Paypal.
- Paypal then adopts the same policy on ITS transactions, even non-ebay ones. My belief: ebay feelings became Paypal feelings.

Interesting. So we know how the ebay/paypal people will be voting in November I take it. So what is a reasonable return policy for a first time, non FFL seller on gunsamerica? 3 days? Or 1 day?

Out of curiosity what are you selling? Seems as though unless its something a bit unusual it migt be better to try selling locally first.

A friend has something that will not bring much where he is, but does much better in other parts of the country.
I will not disclose it here because it is not mine and I don't want this thread closed for violating the TOS.

I dislike paypal and will avoid them if possible. Because they have lawyers and money they have screwed over many people.

Thanks - fair enough. As long as you figure the hassle is worth it financially.

OP,
KEEP IT SIMPLE!
List it on GB and then take it to a local FFL and have THEM ship it to the buyer's FFL. That way it is out of your hans and is now the responsibility of the two FFLs.
Just charge a bit more for shipping and you will be fine. I have sold many guns online....and I am NOT an FFL. It's a piece of cake!
