Internet Ammo Purchase
Recently I purchased some ammo over the internet and when the box arrived it had the company name which included the word "ammo" on the box. My nosy UPS deliverer just kept repeating over and over with a devilish look on his face ammo huh? Does anyone know of an ammo company on the internet with good prices that doesn't advertise on the boxes? Thanks.

All ammo will come with a sticker that says "ORM-D small arms munitions". That being said I'm pretty sure everything I have gotten from ammo to go, MAH supply, reeds, and Georgia arms has come in a non-descript box other than the sticker. That driver does sound nosy though, good luck.

My UPS guy comes in and says, "You got more 'stress-relief tablets' today." I just smile and say, "Yep!"

Maybe a discreet constructive message to local UPS managment would be appropriate.

Specify delivery in "plain unmarked bills" ahh err I mean boxes. And also request packing in "plain brown manila wrapping".
I'm sure they will accomodate you if you ask nicely. Right?

I believe the "ORM-D" label post pretty much says it all. I don't know how you're gonna get a 'stealth' delivery of ammo. My UPS driver always chuckles and tells me he knows where to go if the SHTF! He's delivered many thousand rounds from different sources to my door...

Have ordered from about 10 places and it all says something about being ammo.
Pretty sure my UPS FEDEX and USPS people guys all hate me.

My step daughter has her Mary Kay Cosmetics delivered here. I have my hot tub chemicals delivered here also. They all use the same blue ORMD label.

The ormd label has something to do with not being able to put it on plane. Asked my buddy who's a ups driver about it once. If it has the label it has to be sent ground

Other Regulated Materials- Domestic. Could be any number of things, not just ammo.

Maybe the guy is a closet reloader? Maybe he also enjoys shooting and just being friendly? My UPS guy does the same thing, only with snowmobile parts. We have had some pretty good (but short! Those guys are always on the move) conversations regarding sleds. He's an avid sledder, too!

Yes, every ORM-D box may not be ammo, but every box of ammo is ORM-D.

Mine knows too no matter the package or label. I think ORM-D and heavy would be the giveaway. Don't think there's anyway around it.

I just, co-incidentally, had a box of ammo delivered about 15 minutes ago. I asked the UPS guy if ORM-D was on all ammo boxes. He said yes, and a bunch of other stuff, aerosols, chemicals, etc., too. He said the truck was usually filled by a majority of ORM-D boxes.

My UPS guy is great...and I just got another order of ammo in yesterday. Nowhere on the case does it say ammo...just the ORM-D label...but when the driver handed it to me...he said "have some more ammo for ya".
This was a private sale...so I assumed that the carrier is informed that this is in fact ammo. It's disclosed upon shipping in order to be compliant...get the ORM-D label...so I wonder if it gets "indexed" or stamped somewhere on the label in order to disclose to all those who handle (loaders, unloaders, sorters, drivers) said package?
To the OP, I do think your driver was being a ****.
Not sure if there are different colored ORM-D labels that would identify ammo, aerosols, chemicals, etc.
Next time I see my UPS driver, I will ask if they are notified that ammunition is in the box regardless of the exterior.
The only thing on the box I received yesterday that stands out is the "barcode"...which has a bulls-eye on it. I looked that up on the net, but did not find specific info that would say it identifies said box is ammo.

You mean you actually saw the guy deliver it? I've received it in the past sitting by my front door, box split open, looking like it had come from the old battlefront. If I was lucky enough to be there when they drop it off and I sensed an attitude I might remind him that he's just the deliveryman doing what he is paid to do (in a nice as possible way, anyway).

Man, some of you have really nosey UPS drivers. Mine puts my packages on my porch, rings the door bell and scoots back to his truck because, well, that is his job.

I have the same one that delivers/pick up at the shop and my house. If no one is at either he knows how to get in and how to reset the alarm. If he raids the fridge he always cleans his own dishes.
My Grand Daughter loves brown man or just plain Rick and he taught her to say "no more boxes pop".
