Is Talon Gun Grips Closed?
I assume that someone big is buying Talon Gun Grips right now because in the world of software and web sites, "we're not available right now" means being bought by Google. And also because the other eventuality is worse: no more Talon Gun Grips. I went to buy one for my Gen 4 G26 and I cannot. I also cannot find anywhere else to get them. In a world of instant grat, I am pissed!

My understanding is that the owner and developer died unexpectedly recently. I have an order pending and received an email offering a refund or to hang on until near the end of the month when they hope to have things functioning again.
From what I understand the family wants to continue the operation...I am guessing that they have an uphill battle to learn the processes and business practices to continue the operation.
If my information is wrong please correct me.

The owner of Talon Grips passed away a few weeks ago and all ordering is currently suspended. Any unfulfilled orders will be shipped in time and a refund is available if you do not wish to wait.
By the sounds of it, friends and family of the owner will try to keep the company going. I am one of the customers waiting on my order. I chose to wait as I have only heard great things about the grips AND the company.

Oh goodness! My condolences! Sir, may you rest in peace. You were so generous and kind and even wrote a note on my order thanking me. Godspeed, sir.

Wow, sad to hear this. My condolences to the family. I just received my first ever Talon grips a few weeks ago for my Kahr PM9. I really like them alot and was going to get some for another gun. Hopefully they will come through this ok.

I just went on Talon's website and it looks like they delayed shipment of outstanding orders until the end of June. They also stated that they hope to resume taking orders in early July. Sounds like good news on keeping Talon Grips going!

I haven't tried the Raptors but I'm sure they are almost identical to the Talons. What Talon has going for them is the rubber textured grips that nobody else has(at least not the thin version like the granular style).

Talon orders - coming soon???
I asked for a refund a few days ago, and got this email today:
I received your refund request and will send you a personal check for your order amount.
I will mail the check on Monday June 18.
We have started to mail out backorders yesterday. If you elect to withdraw your refund request and receive your order instead, send a return answer to this e-mail and state “ I Want My Order Filled “.
If I receive that request by Sunday noon, I will mail your order Monday.
I want to express my sincere thanks for you having been so patient and I understand your desire to receive your refund now.
Thanks,
Dierk
I decided to wait another week, so we'll see what happens. Looks like they are starting to fill orders, so hopefully we'll have them soon.

My grips arrived in today's mail. Same material and cut pattern as my previous ones. Talon is still GTG.

Sorry to hear the bad news about the owner but I'm also glad that they are back in business.

My granulate grip just arrived yesterday. I placed my order on 5/6/2012 so it looks like the backlog is going to start clearing out.

I got my order in the mail today! My order was placed on 5/12. I emailed them last Friday about possibly changing the rubber textured grip from the G29 to the G20 and he replied quickly and said it was no problem. Great Customer Service and I am a customer for life!

Best wishes to his family he was indeed very nice. He always included a thank you with every order and included scrap pieces to use for grip extensions when ever asked to. Service like that is truly valuable and uncommon.
