Joined the 10 Ring!
Just picked up my new G20SF from my FFL dealer today! Test fire date of 04/10/12. I've been looking for one locally for a while with no luck and ended up buying one on GunBroker.
I have no experience with the 10mm but so far I am definitely liking it. I've been wanting to do a little deer hunting with a handgun for something different and figured this would be a fun route to go. Took it out shooting today and it shot great. Anyways just wanted to share a few pics of the new toy. Looking forward to learning a great deal from you guys about this exciting cartridge!

Congrats!
How many rounds did you put through yours and what brand?

I could only find one box of 10mm locally and it was some cheap PPU 180gr JHP. Still waiting on my ammo shipment from Georgia Arms. I'm sure I will be getting some Underwood Ammo to try out soon too after hearing so many good things about it.

Congrats! Be sure to save that brass--you never know when you'll get the itch to start reloading.
I've got XS Big Dots installed on mine, and use the KKM standard-length barrel. It helps keep the brass in great shape for reloading.
Here it is next to my G33 (I was showing the Big Dot sights to someone who was asking about it...)
Better look at the barrel installed and that big ol' Big Dot:

Enjoy your new 10mm!

Thanks! Reloading equipment and a 6in KKM barrel are definitely next on my list.

Nice, Larson!!!! Welcome and thanks for posting! Here is my current 10mm family:
You're gonna LOVE your G20. Probably the overall best semi-auto pistol available today!

Well, I just joined today also - found a G20SF at my local gun shop. Been on the fence for quite some time, passed-up on a few opportunities to get one, but finally pulled the trigger (so to speak).
Mine has 15-round magazines with it. Seen quite a few for sale with 10-round magazines, so I'm glad I waited for one with 15's.
Now - just need to get ammo, holster, more magazines, etc, etc.... Oh, and range time!
It's joins the stable with my Gen2 and Gen3 G19's.

to all new members of 10-ring!
Shooting 10mm auto is a special experience in a world of handgun shooting. Beside all firearms I have, I like it the most.

Welcome gents !
Step up & join the party.....
Only autoloader that I like better than my 10MM's is my .44 AutoMag. But that one requires crawling around to recover ALL of the brass !

Got my G20SF a couple weeks ago... it was just the distraction I needed to keep me from thinking about the precision rifle build I have been obsessing about while I'm deployed. For ~$620 with the 6" KKM it was a much cheaper way to spend leave than buying a $2500 rifle.
I was home 2 weeks and managed to get out 4 times to shoot, and it was a joy to shoot with moderate handloads and factory UMC loads.
Next upgrade will be (I think) a Deltapoint for deer hunting

I'll keep you guys updated on my deltapoint progress... I'm putting off buying sights for now until I can make up my mind completely on whether or not to get a mini red dot
