It's up to you, Larry. Google "Benchmade Assisted Opening", and you'll get multiple choices in a variety of price ranges.

Good luck.

I've gone through a few pocket clip knives. But I always go back to my Case XX knives. For the longest time, I've liked the trapper pattern. Usually switching back and forth between the medium and large. My latest one (and I think it'll be my favorite) is the trapperlock I just bought a few weeks ago.

Why wouldn't I use my $400 knife as an EDC, and actually use it? That happens to be exactly the amount I paid for a used regular Sebenza with Snakewood inlays, and even with me home on disability it sees the light of day many times over. It's not just a work of art, it's very high quality and feels great in the hand.

It's the trapperlock, no backspring so it flips nicely.

For me it's either a Boker Pocket Bowie pictured or Kershaw Leek.

When I'm camping, or working "in the back 40" I carry, and use, a Mora sheath knife with a thumbgard.

Think I'm going to take mine out of the cabinet and give it a try. Maybe carry it and the Delica also.

580 Osborne

Shop around, you may find a better price. Good luck.
Thanks, finally decided to get my first Benchmade. Ordered the Barrage 585, plain edge. All around best choice for me. Got to try it yesterday at the Crossroads of the West Gun Show. Smooth assisted opening, solid blade, and good feel in the hand. Thanks again for your help.

Received my Benchmade Mini Barrage 585 today from Oregon Knife Company. This is one fine piece of steel, first class quality -- no doubt!

Just picked up a nice Zero Tolerance 0350 for $100 bucks. The 0350 has a bit more meat to it than my Benchmade Mel Pardue...and will be my new EDC.
