It's easy to replace a standard Mossberg stock with the pistol grip if you want to just give it a try. Lots of very slightly used pistol grips for about $15 at gunshows, draw your own conclusion.
The Draco is FUN! More fun than plinking with a .22.
Get one while you can, it's the kind of thing the democrats would love to ban. Also, because it's legally a pistol, some of us can carry it concealed (unlike a rifle). It's accurate enough, and for home defense not only would it stop an intruder wearing a vest, it would even set him on fire.

Oh man would you look like the bad guy if you shot down a mugger with a Draco! If you really ever produced a concealed Draco, be prepared to be shot at by all the CCW permit holders around you.

What if they all carried Dracos too?
Wouldn't the world be a better place?

Noooooooope, not really!......
I tend to think the vast majority of permit holders would only react to a genuine threat. If the weapon is being used in a lawful fashion, and is perceived as a threat, then that person probably is a liberal, unarmed anyway, and couldn't do a damn thing about it!
Realistically speaking, however.......there is probably a permit holder that would shoot.....I can imagine a few cops might, as well.......but the probabilities vs the possibilities are far from what you are imagining here.....

10/22's and Mossbergs are fun and dependable and great choices.
I'll add two more fun guns that are inexpensive to buy and to shoot.
Mosin Nagant 91/30 can be had for about $100 and 7.62x54r milsurplus ammo is dirt cheap. Most were refurbished.
Yugo SKS 59/66 can be had for about $300 to $400 And is one of the best old semi auto rifles on the market. Some of which were never issued because of the AK47, With tons of accessories. 7.62x39 ammo is reasonably priced compared to many other calibers.
Neither of these two are civilian rifles made to look like Military rifles these are the real deal and built like tanks with all parts still being readily available.
I own the 10/22, the Mossberg Crusier, Mosin Nagant, and the Yugo SKS, and there all different as night is to day. There all great fun guns though.

You would be surprised! It handles recoil very well. The more vertical style of pistol grip transmits a lot of torque to your wrist. This style of grip allows the gun to (for lack of a better description) buck in your hand without causing any pain or discomfort. Sort answer...it moves around a little, but dosnt hurt at all. Think, colt SAA plow handle grips. Not as secure as an 18 degree set of hogue finger groves, but it turns e recoil into movement, not transmits it into your bones and ligaments!!

I'm with The_Gun_Guru.
Kel-Tec PMR-30
(I'm going to a gun show today on the hunt for a CZ Kadet. If I don't find one, but come across a PMR-30 it might come home with me.)

I don't know why, but I have always wanted a pistol grip shotgun (Mossberg Cruise style). I know they are useless, and I already have plenty of serious shotguns...but they look fun.
I have also been lusting after the new 10/22 TD. again, I need another .22 like a hole in the head, but it just seems cool.
As a playtoy, which one would have the most cool factor?
Happy friday

Get the Ruger. I doubt you will shoot that shotgun 15 times, but a .22, yea you can shoot it every day.

When I wanted a fun plinker gun I went with a draco pistol, its more fun watching water bottles explode and fly into the air with a larger rnd, then watching a bottle barely move with a .22 and then watching the water leak out the hole. I like shooting both, overall .22 ammo is cheaper.

The mossberg persuader/cruiser is a fun gun to shoot. I have one for HD. That being said it rarely leaves the house as my old Winchester model 270 pump .22 is a lot more fun to shoot.

Ordered them from Chaos with the rail. They work well and sit pretty low.

Saiga shotgun? Now that's cool! Plus it uses mostly off the shelf AK parts, very easy take down and even very easy to detail strip, and fixing it if you had to, would be a breeze. You can't say that about most shotguns a lot of them have more parts then a cuckoo clock.
I'm with gun guru, that Mini Draco would be awesome, especially if you find that everything out there is too close to what you already have. That's how i wound up with my G26 - i had a Beretta 92 on layaway and saw the baby Glock in the showcase, so i decided the Beretta was awful close to the Ruger P85 i already owned, and got the Glock instead.

I agree with this completely. The birdshead grip is MUCH better for managing the recoil. I owned just about all the PG options and today the only one I have is a birdshead.

Nothing brings the grins like shotgunning and AKs. A good old pump 12g like my old Defender is cheap and fun. Yep it's brutal with stout loads or even strings of bird shot, but it's still fun on the cheap. An AK is just fun. That 7.62 round is just about perfect in that design...not too much recoil and just enough thump.
