should i get a russian saiga?

my lgs has what looks like to be the exact same thing as this for about $100 more. they don't have listed who did the conversion and it comes with 2 30rd mags. this would be my first ever rifle, but should it? i really don't know much about rifles and was just getting my interest up when this got posted. thanks in advance.

Three hundred dollars over MSRP for a Bulgy Saiga from Arsenal.

Go to Davidson's Gun Genie and find a local dealer who'll sell you that same rifle for $350.

thanks for the reply. i'm a complete rifle noob, like i said before, so i didn't know if i'm missing out on something if i didn't jump on it or not. i like the fact that it's already complete so i can just go out and shoot it and not have to worry about diy and my inexperience. thanks for the info! it seems like i have way more research to do. besides the cost issue, is this even a good route to go for a first rifle?

It's a great rifle, just not a good price. Do what I suggested and you'll find a dealer in your city who will get you the rifle for a fair price.

Is it a good first rifle? I dunno. It's not a bad one if you get it for a fair price.

That is a century arms conversion. Notice the hideous proprietary stock and the lack of properly welded up holes evident on the receiver. Avoid century arms always. Century arms is a hack-job house. You never know what unfortunate surprises might occur.
You would be much better off going with an Arsenal SGL 21 that is made at Izmash's custom shop in Russia called Legion. Arsenal imports the Legion custom shop rifles. Just for comparison, Century does not import the Legion version. Avoid the Century hack jockeys. Thank goodness some other places import Saigas and will continue to import them into the future.
Multiple Saiga importers will keep the price down through competition.
Less importers means the price will go up.

I second the stay away from century, and you can't go wrong with an arsenal. I love mine.
