Smith and Wesson Bodyguard?
Handling it i like it, it is big enought to grip well and has decent sights, the laser is easy enough to use if i want to. I also like last round hold open. Wondering though, i know it had teething problems. Has smith worked these out? Seems like the pocket gun im looking for, i love the p238 but this is more reasonable for my price range.

It became my pocket .380 of choice. I have quite a few rounds through it with no issues & mine is an early model. I'd buy it all over again.

I like mine, but it hasn't been perfect....light strikes and laser issues, mostly corrected by S&W. Still light strikes on a few harder primered ammo.

I bought a recently manufactured BG380, one with the 2nd generation take-down lever. Aside form a few failures to return to battery in the first 50 rounds it's digested everything I've thrown at it without a hitch. The one round that failed to go off had a deep indentation in the primer and I believed it to ammo related. I'm quite happy with it so far and I believe if I have any problems in the future S&W will make it right. The laser is somewhat hard to activate, but with real sights on top I don't really depend on it.

I bought mine when it first came out and it has a low EAA serial number with no ring in the frame around the laser. I have well over 1K rounds though mine, pocket carry it at least 5 days a week, and it has NEVER given me a problem. I hope I didn't just jinx myself but I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

My BG380 has been an excellent gun. 300 trouble free rounds thru it.

They seem to sell well here. S&W brought one along with some M&Ps to test a few weeks ago and no one had any problems with it.

Mine was perfect, bought new in March 2011. Easy to shoot and conceal I had no problems. Well, one bad round out of 300, but I think it was the ammo. I fell out of love with .380 and traded it, but it wasn't the gun's fault.

I've been through all the pocket guns in 380, the BG380 is the only one I have left. It's good good sights, best trigger of the bunch (not saying much), and has been 100% reliable.

Definitely agree there, it's the best .380 auto I've tried, and I have owned a few. It runs very well with good ammo.

I really like mine, but a buddy just got a P238 and it is nice. I didnt get to shoot it so not sure if it is worth the price difference.

Strange you bring up the BG380 since I rented one a few days ago and just won one of them on GB for $310.
I have the P238 and it's still the best shooting pocket .380 I've ever owned but the BG380 comes in at a close second. They have two totally different triggers but the BG380 trigger pull is not as bad as people make it out to be. Yes it's on the heavier side but it's pretty smooth. I had no problems pulling straight through or staging it for a more accurate shot.
The thumb safety is easy to disengage but with the trigger pull, it's completely unnecessary. Luckily it sits in either position very well with a nice positive click.
My P238 is thee pocket gun in my carry line-up but for one, I like to keep proficient with different triggers, my P238 needed a buddy and well....I just wanted it which is more than enough reason.

I just picked up my BG380 yesterday. Anyone have any good suggestions for a CCW holster?

Crossbreed. I have a few of them for different pistols, they are comfortable and secure the weapon nicely.

Pocket or IWB?
For me, these little 380s are strictly pocket guns and hopefully mine will fit in one of the several holsters I already own. I'm pretty sure it will fit perfectly in the Blackhawk #3 pocket holster I have that is sold at every Walmart I've been too.

Sticky Holster -- can use it iwb or pocket , it's my favorite holster ever -- and I've had $200 holsters in the past.

The Bodyguard .380 just isn't getting much attention or respect it seems. I'm not a fan of .380s but if I were looking for one I would be comparing it against others for sure.
