I took it out for its maiden voyage the other day. I love it. Its simple, tried & true and its a genuine civilian Colt "M4" now. Not an M4gery lol.

That's what mine looks like. Mine has the "Restricted " roll marks on the other side of the mag well. Great all around AR.

Congrats ! You did real good on that Colt. I own the 6720 and 6920. Both excellent carbines. You'll never wear it out.

Well mixflip, after you started this thread, you got my gears turning and I started reading and searching around for a Colt AR even though it wasn't quite the right time for me to make the leap financially. I pulled the trigger today on a brand new 6720 and will be picking it next Friday. Thanks alot! If I'm in the doghouse for this one, you're to blame. Hahaha!

LOL thats awesome. Tell your wife its an investment. I guarantee you it will go up in value as we get closer to the election. Not that you ever plan to re-sell it though.

My wife knows I make money (my hobby is profitable) with my guns so its easy for me to justify my gun purchases lol. Thats the key. Find a way to buy guns without touching any of the "hours for dollars" day job family support money. That way she cant complain.

She doesn't care that I buy guns that much because she knows that everything is financially sound and that I wouldn't make a stupid decision to hurt us. She also doesn't say anything because I work a part-time job for extra money on top of my full time gig and also doing a little metal scrapping on the side. I would never put guns before my mortgage payment that's for sure. Now I gotta find out who around here has some .223's in stock.
