Factory Cutaway pistol?
Greetings,
I recently saw one of the cutaway pistols at the armorers course, and would really like to have one. The problem of course is that they list them as "LE only", and I'm too old to join the force
I looked on the GSSF price list, as well as the armorers list, and of course it's not listed. I saw a couple old (long sold) ads via Google searches, but I don't see any for sale currently.
Does anyone have any hints as to the best place to look for one of the cutaways?
Thanks,
Rusty

I am 50% sure that I saw one for sale in this shop.

It wouldn't hurt to give them a call.

It's such a shame that I can't buy one from Glock, and I might call them and ask just to be sure.

keep an eye on gunbroker, they come up every once in a while. Usually around or slightly above price for a new glock.

Good news. It looks like I will be allowed to buy one from Glock via my new armorer's certificate. Thanks for the replies, but I think I'm all set.
Cheers,

How much does Glock want for it? Does it have to go through an FFL?

It's on the LE price list, so you have to be able to buy an LE priced gun to get one. I'm not sure if the price list is public or not, so I wouldn't want to give the cost here. It's just a bit more than the stock gun though, but less than I could have bought a retail gun.
Yes, it's considered a real gun, so it must go through FFL. I'm still waiting, but hopefully not too much longer.
You probably have to be a collector, or someone who's just fascinated with being able to see it all function. I'm a bit of both I guess.
