Hey guys I have a Mosin that a guy is interested in buying. I have owned the rifle since about 1994. From what I have gathered so far it is an 1896 Tula with matching numbers on the receiver and bolt, mismatched on the buttstock, but has the Finnish SA stamp on it.
I have only found one sale with an 1896 that matches mine over on Gun Broker and it sold for $642.00
I am by no means an expert on these rifles. I bought it when I was 15 from The Sportsman's Guide and have maybe put 10 rounds through it personally. Any guidance on value?

Stolen- That sounds a bit high. Your going to have to research the Russian writing to see if it's of said value. Good luck, should not be to hard to find out.
Well that is a nice Tula you have, made in 1896 and captured by the Finns sometime during their two wars.
If your buyer is willing to pay $642.00 then by all means sell it to him but M91 are usually $170- $300 rifles ,I just bought a matching Remington M91 for $200

thanks guys. Just now checked this thread. I found out that the gunbroker deal had shill bids (more than likely) to boost the "end value". I've gotten realistic value quotes from multiple other people ranging $250-400.
