Obama loses vote on ‘Buffett,’ gains tool

Another gimmick shot down by his own party.
Republicans on Monday banded together in the Senate to block President Obama's “Buffett rule” tax, halting one of his chief legislative goals but leaving him with what the White House believes is a potent political weapon heading into November’s elections.

“The fact is that the average man’s love of liberty is nine-tenths imaginary, exactly like his love of sense, justice and truth. He is not actually happy when free; he is uncomfortable, a bit alarmed, and intolerably lonely.” ~ H. L. Mencken

Obama is a tool.

Even if joke of equalization had passed it would not have created enough income to borrow one days worth of borrowing. Not to mention how it would have forced more investment money off shore.
The politicians added another $4.8 billion to our debt today.

This will be one of the many narratives put forward. Republicans need to start articulating their positions better. Obama could be ripped to shreds on every position he's taken.

This is just an election year class warfare gimmick. Not intended to truly make a dent in the deficit.
Our founders would be shooting by now!
