BSUxxxUS Glock 27 - smooth finger grooves says .40SW on slide and barrel.
Glock is closed for Easter so haven't got a chance to call for a date.

Can anyone help me decipher mine? I've read through the first page and perhaps I am missing something but do not see any serial number beginning with the letter "I"
The serial number on my Gen 3 Glock 22 is : IM_ _ _ _PD
The middle 4 are numbers...
Any help is greatly appreciated.

It appears that you are in possession of a serial number issued for a police department's run of guns with their own serial number scheme outside of Glock's regular style of numbering the pistols.
In the Glock Collector's Club, you might want to post that up with some pictures. There are people who only collect specially numbered PD pistols and pistols roll marked with LE markings.

CW### Glock 17 Gen 1
Serial: CW###US Glock 17 Gen 1 Smooth texture frame 1-pin small black block-lug. Second pin on standard spot at back of grip.
Fixed sights, kinda semi-gloss untextured looking slide. Has old school 90 degree extractor, etc.
After serial number on slide a little birdy looking proof mark, then a NPv looking proof mark.
Barrel has the same bird proof and NPv, but also has NTT and the octogon.
Also the bird and NPv proof are stamped into the right side of the polymer frame just ahead of the pins and slide lock before the dust cover.
