I LOVE the 4506! That is a great weapon. Its large, but its pure awesomeness.

Thanks! I love these old Smiths too, I've also got an older "no dash" model that has the stepped frame and hooked trigger guard. I have the 1006 (10mm variant of the 4506-1) as well, but she's the safe queen if I ever considered having one.

They were great guns indeed! I miss this era of S&W semi's. That's back when they actually knew how to make a gun. It's sad to see such a great firearms manufacture devolve like they have.
Don't get me wrong, they still make a solid gun, just not what they used to make by a long shot.

Also, is that a Comp-Tac mag pouch? How do you like it?

the raybans are some flavor of predators that i picked up from costco (now sporting polarized rx lenses).
i like the tek-loks a lot; however, for me, they tend to slide a bit on my 5-stitch wilderness belts due to where i position them, unless i pin em' against a loop with a pepper spray holder. my guess is it wouldn't be an issue with a csm, or leather belt.

That's a difference of $1,120. That's another $1,120 that I can spend on ammo. Now that's smart!

I think not!
Try about half that.

Still, money is money.
IMHO, better spent on something other than a cell.
To each their own!

I've recently upgraded my smart phone to a Motorola Droid Razr Maxx. I can now upload emergency plans to the phone, along with ERG's and NDC identification apps. The flash drive will be the primary, but the smart phone is becoming a great resource.

Good idea. I've got a smart phone and just never thought to put some plans in there.

May not be easy to read, but better than nothing. My only gripe is that common cords, i.e. mini flashdrive/USB would be nice.

WOW! Ummm.... I'd probably recommend purses for some of you dudes here. LOL.
My carry rig? -> a compact Glock shoved in my pants at 4 o'clock position WITHOUT a backup mag.
