Anyone using Square?
It's a mobile phone credit card reader. Flat 2.75% for swiped cards, no fees or any other type of charges.
Square
Or if not what are you using. BTW I have a one man lawn maintenance business I just started up this year. I'm not really needing this but thought it may come in handy.
Thanks.

You can't take payments for weapons sales. States this in their user agreement.

I didn't inquire, because I wasn't looking at that aspect. But here is the section.
(23) internet/mail order/telephone order firearm or weapon sales,
Face to face may be allowed. Could be a reason not to use them though.

That's pretty cool. I also run a small, mobile business. I don't often have customers ask to pay by cc, but in the past I've taken cc payment through Paypal. Thanks for the heads up.

I saw this the other day too. It might come in handy when people owe you money for random things...like if you picked up something for a buddy. People never carry cash anymore and checks are no fun.

I'm not really sure unless invoice or cc card name or some such thing. Maybe not so much if you do, but if they find out you are.

I have used Square as well and it has helped my business. People are more inclined to buy an item if they can use their card. Customers are amazed that I can swipe their card and they are done and on their way! No additional fee's, if not used there is no charges.
The 2.75% is much cheaper than the bank fee's + card fee + transaction fee
The bank charge a monthly fee even if you don't use their service for the month (usually $25.00) plus you need a phone line and they make you pay for their machine!
Square has been great, their are others (I don't know names right now) and PayPal is coming out with theirs, I may look into that on as well, many customers have PP acct.s
Hope this helps

I use it for when freinds owe me money. One of them is in Mexico for a 2 semesters and is on my family plan. She calls me once a month and pays me with it. Works great
