We made the difficult decision to surrender out faithful pet this morning to our local no kill shelter (Greenville Humane Society). She was a beautiful animal and best friend for 6 years. She used to be an inside dog, but our daughter is highly allergic so she was moved outside. She has high anxiety during thunderstorms, and when inside with us, she was fine. Being outside, she would come through screen doors and chew our doorframes until her gums bled to get inside. We are no longer close enough to just run home and let her in and the big fear we had was her seriously injuring herself.

Hopefully her new home will let her once again curl up on the couch and give unmeasurable amounts of love. Seeing as how my mother-in-law had to put her dog down yesterday due to a spinal injury, needless to say the doggie emotions are on an all time low right now.

Thank you Calli for all the wonderful years. You will always be loved and greatly missed!

It's never a easy decision to make when you have to do what you have to do. All things considered you did the right thing for your family and your beloved pet. She will undoubtedly find a new loving home and will brighten the day of another family someday as much as she did yours.
