Where is the 97B?
Not that I expect much money from the tax return to be spent on gun stuff ... yet I'm keen on checking out the CZ97B which always seems a nice kind of alternative to the 1911
But new ones are scarce, aren't they? Not many posted on gunbroker, if at all. What's going on? Is CZ too busy making 9mm guns so that they have no time for .45s ? Just wondering ...

I was wondering the same thing because I was looking for a CZ 97BD. It appears that most of the CZ line is backordered indefinitely. I guess we shouldn't be telling people good things about CZ so we could actually buy one.

Availability is often a funny thing.
The CZ USA website lets us know that the 10mm Razorback is back in 2012. Not sure if I should hold my breat though, a lot of stuff is being announced these days...

I suspect CZ makes guns in batches like a lot of manufacturers so they might be making one model now, and in several months will begin production of a different model.

Gunbroker currently lists four (4) 97B pistols for sale. That ain't many. You can occasionally see one for sale on CZforums.com. Not often.
We trudge on.

I've got a 97b sitting at CZ right now. It has been there since early January waiting on parts from CZ Europe. Apparently CZ has been busy filling their European military contracts before they re stock the civilian market. I was told by CZ USA that they are seeing more inventory coming in lately.

NIB on Gun Broker if I'm allowed to link it:

I'm liking the idea of a 97BD for a house gun.
Decocker and factory tritium sights.

clarkston:
The 97B should be ideal for a night stand gun because its disadvantages (its size and weight) are not issues on the night stand (that is, provided you have a properly sturdy and supported night stand).
We trudge on.

Finally, finally got a response from CZ. They sent me a brand new 97B. Took four months, but hey, it sure is nice to have my (new) heavy, heavy .45ACP back

I see that Buds and a few other places have the CZ 97B available (at least as of yesterday). I almost bought the 97BD at another site, but decided not to for some reason. Don't know why.
