SR1911 colored sticker question

New Ruger SR1911 pistols have a little round colored sticker on the left side of the frame.

Mine was Green.
I have seen photos of SR1911's with Red and with Yellow.

I would guess that it is some production line code.
Anyone know what it is better than my vague guess?

Thanks

The SR40's and SR9's come with it too. I've had them in Green and Red. My closest guess was batch/dates??

The Green dot means it was a second hand gun made with inferior parts..

J/K,,,,,,,, It is an inspection dot that signifies which inspector checked the gun. Info is From Ruger directly

This. Every Ruger product has it. Or at least all their handguns do.

No, no, no! The dots indicate the color of the purse you are supposed to purchase to coordinate with it! You guys don't know anything!

I was told it was a production day indicator. Indicating what day of the week it was manufactured and inspected.

There are 5 to 7 production days in some companies...... does Ruger only work 3 days a week?

Based on the number of SR1911s available, that could be very true.

Had a choice between two Ruger 22/45s. One wore a white sticker, the other had a purple one. Gotta be a Ruger thing...
