atty req'd for trust filing?

went by tx tactical on s. mason in katy tx. and asked about obtaining c3.
the salesman said they will file a trust for free (was thinking aout a serbu super shorty. they have it for $720.)

so after that i went to a buddies shop to see if he would price match. he got his lawyer on the horn who said tx tac is breaking the law filing w/o being licensed to practice law
gun shop bud said there's a big hubub on txguntalk over this very issue. i looked briefly but couldn't find the thread.
anyone provide some insight on this?

A lawyer is not required to establish a trust.
