Recoil Spring weight??

I read that the factory Glock recoil spring is 16lbs. I am thinking about trying a different weight. For a G17 model.

What affect does a Heavier or Lighter weight have on the handling/recoil of the gun?

My options are 11,13,15,17,20 and 22lbs w/stainless steel guide rod.

Gen3 G17 recoil springs are 17lbs.
Changing the spring weight changes the handeling characteristics and ejection patterns.
The lighter springs usually perform better with lighter loads. The heavier springs for heavy loads.
