Should I port my G29?

I've been throwing around getting Lone Wolf to C port my G29 slide and barrel.

How much would it weaken the slide?

Any recommendations for the porting other than Lone Wolf?

Also, does anyone have any idea how much muzzle velocity/energy is lost? I carry 135 grain Double Taps and 175 grain Silver tips.

What are your reasons FOR porting? What are you trying to accomplish with the porting?

Mainly for follow up shots. I would also like to tame it a bit for my wife.

I love shooting the full power stuff, but it is a little harder than most to get back on target after each shot.
