I would love to have an extended length barrel for my G29, in fact I will be getting one whether storm lake offers one or not - but I would especially like one around 4.8" and would HAPPILY pay $100 for such an item.

I'd buy one. I'm eventually going to get an aftermarket barrel for my G29sf and I'd prefer it to be longer than stock. I'd prefer to get one that is blind marked but I'd buy one either way.

Yeah. I have a 4.45" bbl. I bought from KKM. It has reasonably tight chamber tolerance. The ramp protudes very slightly into the chamber, but not much. I haven't measured it, and I know it could be tighter - but it's WAYYYYY better than Glock's factory p.o.s. mud wraslin' tolerances.

Give him a call and see what you can find - KKM has these in stock ready to be cut to length - I don't think he has anything longer than that though.

I'd be interested in a 4" or 4.25". They make Canadian minimum 30 barrels which are 4.25". To make 29 barrels would seem easier than simple considering they are the exact same but bore size.

I've always wanted a 5.5" (better yet, a 5.6") barrel for my G-29. 5.5" is the minimum barrel length for handgun hunting in WI and unless I can get one that's legal for hunting, I'm not going to bother with one.

The Storm Lake is 4.48 if memory serves.

Wish someone made a 5-6 inch one.

I got the 4.48 Storm Lake barrel. It's not 5-6" but it gets me just .12 inches short of a G20. Better than nothing.

JR at Lone Wolf Dist. said there were no plans to make a long one. I don't know if there are mechanical or ballistic issues that would prevent a 5-6" one for the G29 from being offered.

Maybe KKM, Storm Lake or Bar Sto will offer something if demand is high enough.

To be honest, I just don't see how one would figure a ~4.5" bbl would be a better seller than a 5.6" barrel... do many people actually put cans on their 10mms? I know that some certainly do, but I would guess that there would be a bigger market for those wanting to hunt/achieve significantly greater velocity from their G29s. With a 5.6" G29 barrel, my stock-length SL barrel, and my AA .22lr upper, my G29sf would become a near-do-all backpacking/hunter/plinker sidearm.

By chance, did KKM tell you the maximum length they offered? I'd like to get a 5.6" one (barrels have to be >5.5" in WI for hunting). I carry a wheelgun currently for when I'm busting through swamp & dense brush, but I'd like to take my G29 someday.

I have considered cutting down a G20sf & then buying a G20L upper.... but of course that's the $$$ way to go for basically just a gain in sight radius and better asthetics. I'd rather just drop $150 or so and get a 5.6" barrel for my current G29sf for the few times I'd "need" a longer barrel (and then spend what I "saved" on a 2nd G29sf for the safe)...

Thanks.

They make all the G29 barrels LONG (I think around 6 inches) and when they get an order they CUT IT. So you can get an extended barrel for the G29.

Probably best to call first however. The man told me if I ordered it online just write in the comments section how long you want it.

But call first to see if they have them in stock. They did the other day.

Let us know what they tell you. When Kegs got his, 4.45" was the max they could go on a 29 barrel.
