Yugo M70b1 shooting too low
I used the sight adjustment tool but My Yugo but keeps shooting about 9 inches low at 70 yards.
Anyone else run into a problem similar to this one?

What is your rear sight set at?
Is your front sight screwed all the way down? (Are you out of adjustment?)
Let's get the basics out of the way first, but if all else fails, you can always file down the front sight.

Move the rear sight up until it hits where you want it to.

My rear sight leaf is set all the way back at 0.
My front sight is screwed all the way down.
I was trying to sight the gun in at 50 yards. The gun was constantly hitting by 7-9 inches low.
Is it normal to hit this low at this range with these settings? What would be causing this?

Move the rear sight to 100.
Start shooting.
Move the front sight as needed.
If it still shoots low, move the sight to the 200 yd mark, and so on. (if needed)

Yeah. That's what I figured.
Have you had to do this with your Ak's before?

I have only had to do it with my Yugo. It only hits at 100yds with the rear sight set at the 300yd mark. It is not a match weapon. It is a very fun, reliable weapon though. Works great with my 75 & 100rd drums.

Look at the rear sight ramp from the side of the rifle. The ramp itself begins at 1 and ends at 10. The setting behind 1 is a "shelf" that is higher than the beginning of the ramp. At the rearmost setting the rear sight leaf is set at a battle sight setting that is equal to the 3 on the ramp or 300 meters. Move the rear sight adjustment forward to 1. The battle sight setting is there for a quick sight setting that doesn't require seeing or looking at the numbers.
