Was out in 15 minutes, about 6 people in front of me. Seems to be more people out and about for a mid-term election, negative/get out to vote campaigns in full swing. Need everyone to get out and vote!
Turn out seemed light to me. I'm in the Falls Church area. I think there were three people in front of me to vote. Several people, including me, were complaining about the new paper ballots which replaced the touchscreens.
I saw two other people holding Republican sample ballots and I'm in a very, very heavy Democratic area. I don't think the Dems are going to have a very good day in Virginia today.
We voted in Oakton around 1:30. There were a fair amount of people considering the off year election, more than I've seen in the past. Agree about the paper ballots - seems like too much opportunity for problems!

Virginia Republicans appeared to pick up at least five seats in the House of Delegates in Tuesday's election, reversing Democratic trends in Washington's outer suburbs and marking the first time since 2001 that the party has increased its majority in the General Assembly.
Bolstered by a wave of support for Republican Robert F. McDonnell in the governor's race, the GOP unseated incumbent Democrats in House races in Fairfax and Prince William counties, handily winning House districts that President Obama carried in last year's presidential race.

Kaine didn't sign the bill into law, and it missed an override of the veto by {IIRC} a pretty close vote.
Two issues we should be pushing for this year are the restaurant bill and the CHP on campus, for licensed law-abiding citizens. I wish we had it BEFORE Blacksburg.
