First Time Shooting Semi-Auto

I took a friend with me to the range last weekend. This was the first time she fired a semi-auto. She did a great job! I wanted to brag on her a little and show off the video of her shooting!

Her shots are the ones on the actual targets. My shots are the dents in the frame!

Good for her! And good for you teaching her right. Too many guys I knew were ********* when they took a woman out for her first experience with firearms.

Luckily, I got a good man who undid the damage created by some jack@** ex-boyfriends.

Since she seems comfortable with the firearm, the very next thing to do is get her posture correct. She was leaning over backwards, needs to lean forward to get leverage on the recoil. Start with good habits. Get her into a good stable Weaver(ish) stance.

Wish my wife could/would shoot.

You are correct! One of the good things about her is that she is the type who likes to learn everything she can about topics that interest her. So, I have no doubt that she will be doing a lot of research on propper shooting methods. In a few weeks, I'll have someone who can turn around and instruct ME on some things I didn't know!
