THURSDAY!!!!!

It's always bittersweet for me! My fifth graders want me to go to their middle school next year and be the Tech teacher...then go to high school with them! I've had quite a few of them since they were in Kindergarten!! It's hard to say good-bye to them...regardless of how much
they drive me crazy all year long!!!

38 Special!!!

AWESOME BAND!!! The drummer is a good friend of mine from high school!

I just spoke to him on the phone a couple of months ago! He's a great guy.

His mom was my Sunday School teacher when I was a teenager!

My hubby's favorite 38 Special song...that he dedicated to his late brother...who we lost to Pancreatic Cancer WAY too soon!

He was a Southern Boy to the core!

We love you and miss you Dennis! RIP!!!

I'm going to change gears here in a big way, but I'm really digging these two songs lately:

They both speak to me in a big way lately, especially the 2nd song.

Last night, I just happened to be listening to Mayer's Inside Wants Out cd ... excellent music from an most-interesting artist!

Norman, are you familiar with John Ondrasik (Five For Fighting: 'Superman', '100 Years', etc.)? His music is quite stirring ...

Don't mean to wear out my welcome here, but I just picked up Dave Matthews Band's latest cd, Big Whisky and The GruGrux King.

It was certainly worth the four-year wait and though all the tracks are good, this one's special:

Likewise!

This first song takes me back to two memorable years spent in Lexington, Ky and the second, a college sweetheart from Gatlinburg ...

I was among the "draftees" after school to sing with a group of teachers and staff in front of the school, as the kids got on their busses and left for the YEAR!!

It was a real hoot! The kids LOVED it...so that is what counts!

What we sang...

It was another..."First Annual"!!! We are already talking about a bigger production on the last day next year!
